Carbon Black Friday on the Cypremort Branch
Description:
LDRR 1712 brings eight carbon black hopper cars down the Cypremort Branch at Ashton, after spending hours switching in Baldwin. The cars are bound for the Orion Engineered Carbons carbon black plant near the end of the line, the only remaining customer of significance on this branch that, a few decades ago, stayed busy by removing plenty of salt from the salt mine at Weeks Island.
